  Once you know your due date, it's important to book your session as far in advance as possible. This is to ensure that a suitable time and date can be arranged within the first few weeks of birth. The actual date for your session will be confirmed once your baby arrives. Having a beautiful studio located within her home means that she can be very flexible.

  The ideal time for a newborn shoot is within the first 3 weeks.

  Style your session

  Once booked, Jo carries out a pre-session consultation via email or phone. She’ll ask you about your home and the style of photography you like so that your final photos are completely bespoke to you. At your shoot you will be able to select a range of props from hats and headbands to buckets, baskets and backdrops so you can make sure the images match your style and interiors.

  Newborn photo shoots are a unique and bespoke experience, tailored to embrace each individual parent's wishes and needs.

  Relax and enjoy the photoshoot

  Your bespoke photography session with Jo will be relaxed, comfortable and last between one to three hours, depending on your chosen package. She only books one studio session a day to ensure that it is a calm experience for everyone and she can take her time capturing the perfect images.

  Jo always ensures that she works at the pace of your baby, including taking breaks for feeding or changing. You will work closely with her throughout the session, selecting from the range of props and backdrops to ensure your final images are unique to you.

  From the minute we arrived at her beautiful studio, Joanna worked to create a bond with Frankie so he would feel calm and comfortable with her. Joanna is like a baby whisperer and watching her photograph our newborn and demonstrate her creativity was magical.

  The big reveal - view your beautiful images

  Two weeks after your session, Jo will invite you to return to the studio to view the edited images. These are viewed via a slide show set to music on a large screen so you can see every detail of your images. Jo offers her expertise to help you choose the perfect photos to print and has samples of the product range on hand to help you decide. Online viewing sessions are also available.

  From acrylics and canvases to frames and albums, your final order will be ready to pick up around two to three weeks after the viewing session for you to enjoy at home.
